Apparently you’re not on Facebook much… In the last 6 months, something like 100 people from my distant past (college, high school, past jobs) — some of whom I haven’t seen in 25 years — have been pinging me with various memories, some of which being illustrated with scanned photos from a time before digital cameras.
Sometimes, as you say, this is not for the better.
Good point. The Internet hugely increases the extent to which persons’ pasts are accessible. Still, someone who lives with you has a lot more memories of what you said and did than other friends, or than any camera records.
