Adam of Saint Victor

Adam of Saint Victor was church official and Latin hymnist who worked in Paris in the first half of the twelfth century. In 1130, he became a monk of the Abbey of St. Victor in Paris. Adam of Saint Victor’s hymns promoted veneration of Mary the mother of God, the most important figure of the Christian Church.
